Another diverse project – Calibre designed and constructed the new hangar administration facilities and control centre for CHC Helicopters located at Jandakot Airport.

The building comprises an administration and control centre of approximately 350m2 comprising three bedrooms to enable 24 hour shifts, operation room, planning room, full kitchen, and dining and lounge areas, along with a workshop and spare parts space. The adjoining hangar of 544m2 required a 25.6m clear span opening, which was achieved through use of six sliding doors on outriggers.

The building structure consisted of structural steel purlins and coloubond cladding. An integrated phone data and security system was also installed to suit the client’s requirements.
